VOLUNTEERING
Be a volunteer with us:
Kabani Community Tourism & Services provides a platform where people can bring their creativity, commitment, skills, dedication etc. We are looking for volunteers (long term and short-term) to help us in our research, campaigns, community tourism initiatives, appropriate technology programme etc. People from various backgrounds are welcome if they feel that they can contribute to the organisation and more importantly are in line with our philosophy. As Kabani is a young enterprise at the development phase.
“I’ve been working for Kabani as a business developer intern during the 2013 summer and it was an amazing experience. Even though I had no idea of what I was jumping into, it was clear that the project has a valuable potential and we can expect to see it grow. Ecotourism is more than just a business model, it’s philosophy with added value for the customers and the community.”
Douglas PINTO, Master of Strategy IESEG School ofManagement, France (2 months in 2013)
“Despite some concerns about going to such a distant culture the decision to go abroad was quite easy for me. Kabani offered a fabulous work environment with challenges we would never get in our ordinary European Markets. Seeing what Ecotourism can achieve and how it impacts the people was an experience I do not want to miss.”
Hortense MEMIN, Master of Marketing, IESEG School of
Management, France (2 months 2013)“I have been working in Kabani during the entire summer of 2015, as an intern in Marketing with other international business students. I have chosen to work there to discover another way of working, but also another culture: I was not disappointed at all because I have learned so much from all the people who were different of me and those of my country. As a future entrepreneur in tourism, I have also discovered a new way of travelling and housing, which have changed my way of thinking about tourism in general.”
Henry Bourdarot, Master of Marketing, IESEG School of Management, France (2 months 2015)
“I was hired to develop marketing materials in 2014 and 2015. Sent to different locations to take pictures and films for the company, I experienced not only the Indian culture, but also the way of travelling that Kabani promotes. I met the great individuals that are empowered to push tourism towards the other direction. I could feel the company culture and felt blessed to be a part of it.You will be given a lot of autonomy during your internship. You will be asked to create, develop and push your ideas. Working in India is challenging in many ways.Hired for one summer session, I HAD to go back to Kerala in 2015. I missed the friends, the food, the climate, the state of mind.”
Pierre-Louis Deledalle, operational internship, IESEG School of Management, France (2 months 2015)
