Community Tourism
Community Tourism Partnerships
Kabani is facilitating community tourism partnerships and initiatives with grassroots organisations in several villages in India. We have been working with farming and coastal communities of Kerala to set up their own tourism programmes in their villages. These efforts have been offering an authentic experience to the guests and considerable economic and other benefits to the host communities. This encourages us to expand these partnerships to other parts of the country.
In these partnerships, the investment of the villagers is kept as minimum in order to reduce the dependency over tourism. We are developing the existing farmer homes as home stays so it does not cause any extra investment or burden to the villagers. The Tourism business is counted as an additional income for the communities and not the main source of income for them, considering its unpredictable nature.
All these partnerships are not just tourism programmes, but addresses holistic village development and related subjects.
Our Programmes
They include the establishment of rural micro enterprises, organic farming, waste management, conservation and enhancement of natural resources. We offer training and awareness programmes to the villagers and the small entrepreneurs to enhance their capacity to meet the challenges in tourism .These activities ensure quality of service offered to the guests.
